Katie Symons, Supportive Housing Consultant and CFO, BeauxSimone Consulting
Attendees will learn about Permanent Supportive Housing and how it is a solution to providing trauma-informed housing and supportive services to people experiencing homelessness or housing instability. Permanent Supportive Housing supports individuals and families in need of behavioral health and other supportive services to remain housed and thrive.
The session will highlight a project that utilized CARES Act funding in 2020 to create a permanent supportive housing community for people exiting from jail, who were at high risk of contracting Covid-19 and would have otherwise been discharged into homelessness. Attendees will also learn about current and upcoming funding sources, including through the American Rescue Plan’s HOME program that can help to make permanent supportive housing projects a reality.
