In the last six decades, multiple organizations have been focusing on advancing their diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) efforts in the U.S. and abroad. Due to these efforts, some organizations have been able to achieve some level of cultural shift and organizational results. On the other hand, some organizations are still debating and struggling to understand why DEI is critical to their organizational performance. Understanding the “why” behind your organizational DEI efforts will enable your organization to be strategically positioned to achieve your goals and vision. In this session, we will share some research-based evidence of why DEI efforts can improve your organizational performance and explore your “why” along the way.
Examine and discuss the link between diversity, equity and inclusion and organizational performance.
In a roundtable format, explore your organization’s “why” in order to launch strategic diversity, equity and inclusion efforts to improve housing outcomes.
Participants in this session will leave with an improved understanding of why diversity, equity and inclusion is important to their organizational efforts and how they can better articulate their “why” to guide their strategic efforts.
